St. Angel's Castle

Built in 123 AD, as the memorial of the emperor Adrian and his family, it was transformed, along the centuries, in a castle, a jail, in a Rinascimental residence, back in a jail and, at last, in a museum, without changing its structure.

It is connected to the Vatican by a 800m long raised path, named passetto.
