Capitol Hill

The Capitol is one of the seven hills of Rome. It was the citadel of the earliest Romans and is supposed to be the center of the city and the whole roman world.

The main building of the Capitol square was the Tabularium, which now is the City Hall of Rome. The design of the Renaissance palaces (now housing the Capitoline Museums) and the square itself is a urban plan of Michelangelo.

From the Capitol you can have breathtaking sightseeings both on the Forum and on the city center (Terrazza Caffarelli).
